“Current gospel songs are noisy” – Yaw Sarpong

Ghanaian veteran Gospel musician, Yaw Sarpong has described the songs released currently by gospel musicians as noisy.

With his 43 years experience as a Gospel Musician, he has been exposed to various releases and when he makes comparison to the current and old, “songs released by current gospel artistes are all noisy”.

He shared his views in an interview with DJ Advicer on Happy 98.9FM’s Ayekoo After Drive.

“Most of these artistes don’t have patience when recording their songs. They quickly want to get everything done so they can release and launch immediately.

“I feel their challenge is that most of them actually have good storylines that will impact lives but how to put the lines together and make the song sound great is their problem”.

Although he commended them for making inputs in the Gospel industry especially the female Gospel artistes but as the popular saying goes, “more room for improvement”.

He advised them to have patience and go through their songs over and over again before releasing them.

“This will prevent them from releasing noisy songs,” he said.
