Seven apply for University of Ghana Vice Chancellor position


Professor Ebenezer Oduro Owusu, the Vice Chancellor for University of Ghana is retiring at the end of July 2021. The University therefore has called for people capable of replacing the VC by given an open application for the position.

The search committee has received applications from seven candidates.

They are as follows;

  • Professor Nana Aba Appiah Amfo : Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs
  • Prof. Felix Ankomah Asante : Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research, Innovation and Development
  • Prof. Peter Quartey : Director, Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER)
  • Prof. Samuel Nii Ardey Codjoe : Institute for Population Professor
  • Prof. Daniel Frimpong Ofori : Provost, College of Humanities
  • Prof. Godfred Alufar Bokpin : Dean of Student Affairs
  • Prof. Daniel Wesley Lund : Dean, Faculty of Business Administration

The search committee has put out a notice asking for relevant information that may facilitate its work. 

Professor Ebenezer Oduro Owusu replaced Prof Ernest Aryeetey as Vice-Chancellor.
