The Finance Minister designate after thorough questioning at the Appointment’s Committee for approval, was finally accepted unanimously. After the decision, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) executive appears to be appealing for calm following the approval of Ken Ofori-Atta as Finance Minister.
In a statement signed by General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, and sighted by OneGhanaOnline, said his approval by Parliament was based on consensus.
The General Secretary is, therefore, asking members to remain calm and be circumspect when expressing their disagreements about Mr Ofori-Atta’s approval.
