Full details of the clash between Nana Aba and Paul Adom-Otchere Over #FixTheCountry Demo

FixTheCountry (Fix The Country) has been trending on social media to call on the current leadership of the country to fix the mess and hardship being experienced in the country.

Some unhappy Ghanaians are venting their spleens over what many describe as a failure on the part of successive governments to improve the lives of the citizenry.

Paul Adom Otchere on his Good Evening Ghana Show defended the Government and again called on Ghanaians to rather go back and read their books as COVID-19 has played a major role in such occurrences.

This again did not settle well with the youth and some media personalities as they also called him names as a Government playboy and corrupt media person.

Paul Adom Otchere tweeted:

FixIt,#FixTheCountry, but whose fault is it, @JDMahama? @NAkufoAddo? COVID-19, CSO’s, Media, or whom? Deputy Finance Minister joins us tonight on @GoodEvening_Gh to tell us about the new taxes and to answer questions on the-why, the -what, and the-when. #GoodEveningGhana

But Nana Aba Aanamoah who found the distasteful quickly replied to the tweet, Nana Aba replied:

For once, be brave and tell this administration led by @NAkufoAddo to #FixTheCountry and stop dragging others in. Is John Mahama our President? CSOs, Media? Did we elect them? Stop this life!!

Paul in a series of tweets also responded as follows:

‘@thenanaaba my dear, how are you, please I am often bold, but as I just said on TV this evening, I think we should put this #FixIt discussion in a proper economic context. COVID-19 turned our economy upside down.

Until February 2020, @NAkufoAddo and Ken Ofori-Atta had grown this economy better than they inherited even with a significant social intervention in education whilst discharging significant legacy debts.

I think we should situate the discussion well. If after all is said and done we still think they should fix it, then by all means let’s tell them so. Good night and let’s meet soon.

Nana Aba also responded again with this:

Honestly, if you’re a media person who has nothing sensible to contribute to #FixTheCountry campaign, just keep quiet. We know you’re shameless and we can’t shame the shameless but shut it. It’s enough.
