Ghanaians have vehemently rejected a Go-Fund-Me account set up by Yvonne Nelson to raise $20,000 to support Beverly Afaglo. Beverly’s house and everything inside it was grazed to the ground a few nights ago after a terrible fire outbreak.
But the good people on social media have called the move preposterous and ridiculous. According to them, asking ‘poor’ people to contribute to a Go-Fund-Me account for someone who bragged about her father’s riches and properties is a fraud.
Despite sympathizing with Beverly Afaglo’s misfortune, most suggested that her ‘celebrity friends should be able to raise the ‘paltry’ amount of $20,000, which equals about Ghc 120,000.
A few people agreed to sign on, with some asking for mobile money account details to make the transfer easier.
