Irene Logan, a singer, and songwriter has spoken up about her personal life for the first time, revealing that she was a smoker.

Irene has responded to God’s call in her life in recent years by surrendering to ministry work through music. Irene Logan is now a devout follower of Jesus Christ and a minister of the gospel.

According to the former ‘Stars of the Future’ competitor, she began smoking in her early twenties, after she achieved stardom.

She added that she grew up in an extremely strict household where neither of her parents smoked or drank alcohol, but she was given the freedom to follow her passion for music.
In an interview with Abieku Santana, Irene Logan revealed that because of her sudden celebrity, she went to various locations and observed people smoking openly, so she decided to give it a try.

Fast forward to when she became addicted, and what started as one cigarette became two, and she eventually smoked two packs in a day.
Irene made her debut in the music industry in 2006, when she won the first season of “Stars of the Future.”

On the Ghanaian/African music scene, she was a huge success and influencer. Her debut track, “Runaway,” became a worldwide sensation, far beyond Ghana’s borders.

Following that, she had another hit on the continent with ‘Kabila,’ solidifying her status in the music industry. Her hit single “My Mind Dey” was utilized as the soundtrack for the “Adams Apples” television series.
