Ghana’s Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has promised to assist legendary actor Psalm Adjeteyfio.

Despite his grief over his mother’s death, reports claim that Ghana’s Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has promised to pay the actor’s rent for the next five years as well as provide him with a stipend.

Lawyer Krobea Kwabena Asante revealed this in a post on his Facebook page.

“Despite mourning his mum who died in the early hours of today. Dr. Bawumia this morning fulfilled a promise he made yesterday to TT of Taxi Driver fame that he will foot TT’s rent bills.

“Dr. Bawumia has paid 6 months renewable for the next 5 years (30k) for TT and has also given TT 20k for upkeep. In all, he gave TT 50k this morning,” Krobea Kwabena Asante wrote.

According to the post, the vice president approached TT and offered to help by paying Ghc30,000 in rent for five years.

He also offered the legendary actor a Ghc20,000 stipend for his care, bringing his total gift to Ghc50,000.
After Psalm Adjetefio made his plight public, many people offered to help him.

Ayisha Modi even pledged to pay the legendary actor’s rent so that he would not have to worry about such concerns for the rest of his life, but it appears that the Vice President had taken the initiative.
