Court adjourns the case against Rev. Owusu Bempah and 4 others to October 5

The case involving Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah, the Head Pastor of Glorious Word Power Ministries International, and four others has been deferred until October 5, 2021.

The delay, according to the prosecution, will allow his team to revise the charges and facts of the case.

The delayed date was set by an Accra Circuit Court judge after the accused’s counsel, Gary Nimako, objected to the prosecutor’s planned date of October 25, 2021.

Today, Monday, September 20, 2021, all of the defendants appeared in court.

The defendants face charges of provocative conduct leading to a breach of peace, death threats, and assault on public officers.

After being denied bail by the Circuit Court, the Accra High Court granted Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah and his accomplices’ bail on September 15, 2021.

Mr. Bempah was transported to the Police Hospital last week after claiming to be sick.

He was taken to the Police Hospital for two hours before being released.
