From Monday, the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) will hike transportation fares.

Although the exact proportion of the increases in transportation fares has yet to be determined, the GPRTU is informing the public that they should expect an increase.

Alhaji Abass Imoro, the Industrial Relations Officer of the GPRTU’s Accra chapter, told TV3 that they have already spoken with the Transport Ministry on this issue.

“The rate at which our fuel prices are increased, I don’t want to preempt anything because there could be another increment soon,”

“Government came up with a sharing policy and we have done our part but they have not. So, hopefully, by next week, we shall increase transport fares.” – Alhaji Abass Imoro said
